Located at Guddekere (8km from Agumbe and 24km from Thirthahalli), the five acre field site is nestled at the heart of the rainforests of Agumbe. KCRE is committed to educate the younger generation about the riches of the rainforest ecology and the benefits of interacting correctly and ethically with environment. Focus of Kalinga Centre for Rainforest Ecology is to open doors of opportunity to people from varied backgrounds to learn scientific tools of conservation through workshops and camps.
Program overview:
Each day is dedicated to one topic (birds, amphibians, reptiles, flora, butterflies and more) and experts from respective fields engage with children through presentations, activities, games, quiz and whole lot of interaction.
